This morning class II was having their “mock” Pitman exams, so I didn’t have to teach my bookkeeping class. I spent most of the morning working on the books in the office. After lunch we wrapped the Christmas presents to send to Mom’s place and got it off. It cost 29 shillings to mail it. We did some shopping at the supermarket and bought a tie for Uncle Kyle. Tonight we were invited to eat with the Harrell’s at Limuru. The Moore’s and the Journey girls were invited also.
Mom skips class to go shopping! No, I can’t salve my conscience yet she did the missions books all morning so she could shop later that day.
Because of the speed of overseas shipping at this time we had to send Christmas early. FedEx and UPS were not doing near the overseas business at this time that they are today.
Alan and I were not included in the jaunt to Limuru if I remember. We were probably getting ready for a big sleepover at a friend’s house or something.
