This morning I taught my classes. Alan and Ken were quite bored with school being out and no one to play with. We feel they must learn to do things alone. This afternoon Edna came over to make her cheesecake on my mixer and in the oven. She is having station meeting at her house tonight. We learned tonight that Alan’s S.S. teacher was killed this morning in a plane crash. There were at least four others in the plane.

This morning M.G. and the boys went to the airport to meet the Housers and the Stewarts who are returning from furlough. At 10 o’clock we all went over to Syd’s house for tea. Phil Moore had lunch with our boys, and later in the day Stacy came over to play and then spent the night. Tonight M.G. and I met the Adams at the airport. They are on their way home. We got a letter today from Mildred Braden who is a member of a little church near Oliver Springs. We spoke there while we were home. She sent some flower seeds and a dime. She said, “I don’t have much to give, but my prayers.”
